Interpretation:

The values of pH, [H+], and [OH] of a solution with pOH=6 are to be predicted. Whether the solution is strongly acidic, weakly acidic, neutral, weakly basic or strongly basic is to be predicted.

Concept introduction:

The pH scale tells about the strength of an acid and a base. It measures the concentration of the hydrogen ions. There is an inverse relation between the pH value and the concentration of the hydrogen ion. Higher the concentration of hydrogen ions, lesser the value of pH. There is an inverse relation between the pOH value and the concentration of the hydroxide ion. Higher the concentration of hydroxide ions, lesser the value of pOH.
