Summary Introduction

To review:

Whether the statement, “Patients with acute TIA and minor stroke are an ideal candidate for the prevention of recurrent events,” is true or false.

Introduction:

An acute transient ischemic attack (TIA) is an episode of temporary neurologic dysfunction. This condition might arise because of the retinal, spinal cord, or focal cerebral ischemia. However, it is not associated with acute tissue infarction. There are several symptoms of minor stroke that follows a major stroke. Some of them are numbness in arms, dysphagia, vision changes, dizziness, and tingling.
