As if the chyme accumulates in the duodenum, an internal pressure arises that causes the stretch in the intestinal wall. The sensory receptors of the wall than stimulate by these actions. The sensory receptors trigger the enterogastric reflex stop the gastric peristalsis and secretion of food.
