To determine: The example of a disease process that disrupts the process of homeostasis.

Introduction

Homeostasis is a self-regulatory process that helps in stabilizing the internal environment by adjusting the conditions of the body for survival. Many external factors can contribute to the disruption of homeostasis. The disruption of the homeostasis can lead to the accumulation of toxins or the cells not getting everything they need in order to function which can lead to disease or in some extreme cases death.
