Introduction: The lungs are the major part of the respiratory system. They are spongy pinkish organs that are similar to upside shaped cones. There are two lungs, namely, the right lung and left lung. The internal structures of the lung associate together in the process of inspiration and expiration. Various internal structures make up the lung. The right lung consists of three lobes, and the left lung consists of two lobes. The lobar-shaped branches supply each lobe of the lungs.
