Introduction: The lungs are the major part of the respiratory system. They are the spongy pinkish organs that are similar to the upside shaped cones. There are two lungs, namely right lung and left lung. The internal structures of the lung associate together in the process of inspiration and expiration. There are various internal structures that make up the lung. The right lung consists of three lobes and the left lung consists of two lobes. The lobar shaped branches supplies each lobe of the lungs.
