Nuclear transplantation is a process in which the nucleus of an egg is removed and replaced it with the nucleus of a differentiated cell. It is now more generally called somatic cell nuclear transfer. When the nucleus from the differentiated donor cell maintains its complete genetic potential, then should have the ability to develop the recipient cell directly into entire organs and tissues of an organism.
