Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The successful reproduction occurs only when species produce offspring. To prevent the successful reproduction some reproduction barriers termed as isolating mechanisms used. This type of mechanism occurs before the development of the zygote. Two types of reproductive isolation are prezygotic isolation and postzygotic isolation.
It includes temporal isolation, habitat isolation, behavioral isolation, gamete isolation, and mechanical isolation, zygote mortality, hybrid sterility, low F2 fitness.
