Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The two bean-shaped organs, the kidneys, are present at the abdominal cavity’s posterior wall on the side of the vertebral column. Kidneys have nephrons which consist of glomerulus, proximal tubule, distal tubule, and loop of Henle. The distal tubule is usually emptied into collecting ducts which are a part of nephrons owing to their role in the concentration of urine.
