Plasma proteins are the components of the blood plasma which accounts for almost 7% of the total blood plasma volume. The proteins of plasma are albumin, globulin, fibrinogens, alpha 1- antitrypsin and other regulatory proteins. The functions of these proteins in the blood include coagulation of blood, formation of osmotic pressure, and generation of immune responses.
