The position of the sympathetic chain ganglia and the collateral ganglia relative to the vertebral column.

Introduction:

Ganglion is the collection or a group on cytons on the nerve cells that are joined by synapses. These ganglions form a type of swelling or inflammation on a nerve fiber which is a collection of neurons. They function like relay station where one neuron’s cell body enters and other one exits. It can be considered as a meeting point for neurons where transfer of information or message takes place. Sympathetic ganglia as the name suggests are the ganglia of the sympathetic nervous system.
