The conditions that must be met before two alternators can be paralleled together are listed as follows.
- 1. The connection should be made to ensure that the phase rotation of all the machines is same.
- 2. The phases of the machine should be connected in sequence. The phase A of one machine is connected to the phase of A of another machine. Similarly, connect the phases B and C.
- 3. The alternator should have same output voltage.
