Explanation of Solution

There are certain situations when we have to address such a topic to such an audience which is simple a lay man or I should say non- technical person for that particular field.

Since explaining this topic “an important skill of an engineer is conveying sometimes complex and confusing scientific issues to a less informed, less scientific and less interested audience with a short span of time” is a challenging task.

An engineer has to make so many new products. He has to deal with the designing part, the research part and so many other things before he finally makes a product.

In order to explain this topic to a non- technical public audience- The first step should be to introduce what a skill mean. How the skills differ for an engineer and a non-engineer. How can an engineer best perform using his technical skills?

Define few technical skills and how are they used in the day to day life by giving an example which the audience can understand easily.

To make the topic and deliver it in such a way so that it is very interesting for a non technical person and moreover that person feels that he is able to learn something new.

Engineer should pay attention to the topic or product that is in demand in the present scenario and should use various tools. They should start an interactive session and should keep on enquiring from the people what they think are the skills of an engineer? How he uses such skills etc.

The presenter should make a PPT and explain them. He should add certain video clips in it and should add a game session also.

Conclusion:

So, with all the above method this topic can be best summarized for a non- technical public audience.
