Slack:
Slack is a communication application that provides many services such as real-time messaging, archiving, and searching. Slack is an acronym for “Searchable Log of All Conversation and Knowledge”. This application is free to use and it can be connected with third-party applications like Drop box, Google drive, etc.
Explanation of Solution
Three business wireless applications:
- Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID)
- Global Positioning System (GPS)
- Geographic
Information System (GIS)
Radio – Frequency Identification (RFID):
Radio-Frequency Identification uses the radio waves which automatically reads and grasp the information stored on tag which is attached to an object. The tag attached on the object holds the electronically stored information.
Global Positioning System (GPS):
- It stands for Global Positioning System.
- It is nothing but a satellite based navigation system that provides accurate position, time, as well as speed information.
- It performs independent operation and the user need not to transmit information.
- It is used by people present all over the world. It provides dangerous positioning capabilities to military and civil services and also to commercial users.
GIS:
- GIS stands for Geographic Information System.
- It is a system that is used to gather, store, manipulate, and manage the geographical information.
- GIS application allows user to create interactive queries, edit information in maps, etc.
- Its applications are related to management, engineering, logistics, business, etc.
Usage of slack with each technologies to customers:
Use of slack with RFID:
Slack uses RFID to track office supplies. The retailers see this technology as the clear path to get more accurate inventory counts.
Use of slack with GPS:
Slack uses GPS to track the photos. It can also display the location of the people who are posting the pins.
Use of slack with GIS:
Slack could use GIS to display where the posts are coming from all around the world.

Although you measure your products in kilograms, you often get orders in both pounds and ounces. You have decided that rather than have to look up conversions all the time, you could use Python code to take inputs to make conversions between the different units of measurement. You will write three blocks of code. The first will convert kilograms to pounds and ounces. The second will convert pounds to kilograms and ounces. The third will convert ounces to kilograms and pounds. The conversions are as follows: 1 kilogram = 35.274 ounces 1 kilogram = 2.20462 pounds 1 pound = 0.453592 kilograms 1 pound = 16 ounces 1 ounce = 0.0283 kilograms 1 ounce = 0.0625 pounds For the purposes of this activity the template for a function has been provided. You have not yet covered functions in the course, but they are a way of reusing code. Like a Python script, a function can have zero or more parameters. In the code window you…arrow_forward
