Introduction:
The organs of hearing and balance can be categorized into three parts:
- External ear: The external ear helps in collecting the sound waves and directing it to the interior.
- The middle ear: The middle ear has the air-filled cavity.
- Inner ear: The inner ear has the sensory organs for hearing and balance.
The organs of balance can be divided into two parts that are a static labyrinth and a dynamic labyrinth. The static labyrinth is comprised of utricle and saccule.
