Introduction:
An organism’s surface area plays a major role in the absorption of food and nutrients greater is the surface areas more is the rate of absorption and more are the chances of an organism to get food and to absorb it. For example the presence of micro-villi on villi increases the surface area for the absorption of nutrients in the stomach in humans.
