Introduction:
The visceral division of the peripheral nervous system comprises motor and sensory neurons. The visceral sensory neurons usually monitor chemical changes, temperature, irritation, and stretch inside the visceral organs (internal organs). The interpretation of this information is mediated by the brain as nausea, hunger sensation, pain, or fullness.
