Concept introduction:

A diene and an alkene attached to electro withdrawing group are the reactants. Hence Dields alder reaction can take place between the diene and dienophile to give a cyclic adduct. The product contains two aldehyde groups in cis relationship. It is possible by the ozonolysis of a double bond in a ring.
