Introduction:
A reflex arc is a pathway associated with the initiation of reflex actions. These are involuntary and immediate reactions in response to a stimulus. For example, the immediate jerking of the hand after touching a hot object is a reflex. This arc of such reflexes is associated with the functional aspects of both the peripheral and central nervous systems.
