Introduction:
The general senses are received from all parts of the body by simple receptors; the senses are stretching, cold, heat, touch, movement, and pressure. The trigeminal cranial nerves receive signals from the sensory signals in the head and the spinothalamic tract ascends signals from all parts of the body. Both signals go into the thalamus for processing.
