The digestive system is made up of various organs like the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and the large intestine. The accessory organs include the salivary glands, liver, pancreas, and gall bladder that aids in digestion. Some of these organs secrete enzymes that bring about the chemical digestion of the food. These digestive enzymes are salivary amylase, pepsin, pancreatic amylase, trypsin, chymotrypsin, carboxypeptidase, pancreatic lipases, ribonuclease, and deoxy-ribonucleases.
