Chapter 14, Problem 8UYK
Summary Introduction
To provide: The action of each of the major muscles of the arms that are used to lift a glass to drink from it.
Introduction: The muscles that move the arms originate in the posterior or anterior part of the trunk and insert on to the humerus. The contraction of these muscles extends or flexes the forearm at the joints of the elbow. The muscles of the anterior compartment are involved in the flexion of the forearm, and the posterior compartment muscles are involved in the extension of the forearm.
