Introduction:

Intercostal nerves are also called as thoracic spinal nerves and they do not form nerve plexuses. They are present in the anterior rami of the spinal nerves. The thoracic nerves starting from the region $\text{T1-T11}$ (thoracic) are present in the region between the rib bones. They innervate and send a stimulus to the upper part of the limbs.
