Introduction:

Clotting factors are basically the biochemicals that are responsible for blood coagulation. They are usually present in their inactive state, but once an injury occurs they become active and start the process of hemostasis. Their function is to trigger the formation of blood clot and prevent the loss of blood through injured blood vessel.
