Case Summary: Company PFB is the manufacturer of the fishing boats with two manufacturing units in United States. The company is facing the problem in its supply chain and required to maintain the higher level of inventory as it is sourcing the parts of the boats from outside the country which includes critical components. In order to meet the demand on time and prevent the shortage company is maintaining the higher level of inventory. It hired an outside person to make recommendations for the problems facing by the company.
