Together, what three functions do the CNS and PNS perform?
To describe:
The three functions which are performed by CNS and PNS together
Introduction:
The nervous system is a system in the body that helps in the transfer of information from one part to another. The body parts communicate with each other and with the external environment through the nervous system.
Explanation of Solution
The three functions which are performed by CNS and PNS together are given below:
- Information collection:
There is a number of sensors present on the muscles, skin and many other places on the body. The impulse is received and send through the PNS to the CNS.
- Processing and evaluation of information:
Based on the information CNS processes the information and generate the response.
- Information response:
The CNS generates a specific response and forward it to the axons of the motor neurons.
