A factorial ANOVA is appropriate to use when there are two or more factors.

Explanation of Solution

To test the significance of more than one factor, simultaneously or more than once, the independent variable factorial analysis of variance is used. For example, when there is a presence of two or more independent variables such as experience which takes two levels 1 year, 2 years and age which takes two levels such as less than 25 and greater 25, the factorial ANOVA is used, rather than the simple ANOVA.

This two-way analysis of variance calculation is the same as simple or one-way ANOVA.

ANOVA is the correct tool to analyze the data when the independent variables have two groups or levels. If more than one factor, the factorial ANOVA is appropriate to get the significance of the data.
