Case summary:
“Typhoid fever” is a transmissible disease that can spread from person to person, by taking contaminated food and water caused by urine or feces of carriers or acute cases. Signs and symptoms of typhoid fever can be subtle onset of persistent fever, malaises, constipation, headache, anorexia, splenomegaly, bradycardia and rose like spots on the trunk.

Case summary:
Typhoid is a fever that is caused by the bacterium Salmonella enterica. This bacterium inhabits the intestines and blood capillaries of humans. Diagnostic tests used to detect pathogens present in contaminated foods, water and healthy human carriers. It can be an effective tool to control and prevent typhoid. Antibiotics are the only effective treatment for typhoid fever; however, drinking adequate water is also important during typhoid.
