Program Plan Intro

LINQ (Language Integrated Query):

A query language that is built into C# and that can be used to query data from many sources is termed as LINQ.

• The queries have been used to select the records in the table.
• The query statements will select and retrieve the records from the table and store it into a variable.

Syntax to select records from the table:

  var variableName = From elementName In dataset.table

                         Select elementName

• In the above syntax,
  • The var statement is used to declare a variable which can be used to store the selected records.
  • The keyword From is used to create an element and that element refers to the data set of the table.
  • The keyword Select is used to select all records from the table.
