Introduction:
Nervous system controls and coordinates the functions of body. It is comprised of brain, spinal cord, sensory organs and spinal cord. Nervous tissue has two types of cells: neurons and glial cells. Neuron is a structural and functional unit of nervous system. It has ability to receive the electrical signal and convert them into an action potential and transmit it to other cells.
