Strain hardening also called as work hardening is a process to strengthen the metal or any polymer by plastic deformation, depending upon the content, the process might be desirable, undesirable or inconsequential. The process gives rise to dislocation generation and dislocation movements within the crystal structure by giving rise to the strength of the material.
