Introduction:

There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves that originate from the brain and extend to various organs and structures. These nerves are olfactory, optic, oculomotor, trochlear, trigeminal, abducens, facial, auditory or vestibulocochlear, glossopharyngeal, vagus, accessory and hypoglossal.
