Chapter 13, Problem 9SA
Program Plan Intro

“IntVar” object:

A class named “IntVar” can be used along with the “tkinter” radiobutton widget.

  • • The “IntVar” object can be associated with a group of check buttons with unique values that are assigned to each individual option that is specified.

“Checkbutton”:

The “Checkbuttons” are used to select any or the entire buttons that are displayed in the groups so that “checkbutton” is not mutually an exclusive selection.

  • • “Checkbutton” widget contains the user to read and select a two-way choice.
  • • When the “Checkbutton” is selected, the associated “IntVar” object will hold the value “1”; if it is not selected, then the associated “IntVar” object will hold the value “0”.
  • • The “Checkbutton” can be implemented to multiple choice input widgets by assigning each button a variable of its own process.
  • • The “Checkbutton” is very similar to the “radiobutton”; when one choice is selected, the others in the group can be deselected, and it can make the buttons be mutually exclusive from each other.

Modular Program Structure. Analysis of Structured Programming Examples. Ways to Reduce Coupling. Based on the given problem, create an algorithm and a block diagram, and write the program code: Function: y=xsin⁡x Interval: [0,π] Requirements: Create a graph of the function. Show the coordinates (x and y). Choose your own scale and show it in the block diagram. Create a block diagram based on the algorithm. Write the program code in Python. Requirements: Each step in the block diagram must be clearly shown. The graph of the function must be drawn and saved (in PNG format). Write the code in a modular way (functions and the main part should be separate). Please explain and describe the results in detail.
