Network Attached Storage (NAS):
NAS is the data storage connected to a network of client computers for providing data access to them. It will operate as a file-server.
- A NAS file server is a computer connected to a network which provides only file-based data storage services to other computers on the network.
- It does not include any keyboard and display. Rather, it is controlled and configured over the network using a browser.
- A NAS appliance consists of one or more hard drives. Thus, the responsibility of file serving is removed by the network storage from other servers on the network. They will provide access to the files by using network file sharing protocols like NFS, and so on...
