Introduction:

Mutagen is any chemical or physical agent that can cause mutation. Mutation is any sudden and heritable change in DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). The permanent alteration of nucleotide sequence of DNA can be referred as mutation. Mutagens include carcinogens and radiations like X-rays and UV (ultraviolet) rays.
