Introduction:

The spinal cord is a collection nerve tissue that arises from the brain stem. It consists of 31 pairs of nerves, which include 8 pairs of cervical, 12 pairs of thoracic and 5 pairs of lumbar, 5 pairs of sacral and 1 pair of coccygeal spinal nerves. Networks of nerves form a plexuses. A nerve plexus is a branch of intersecting nerves composed of afferent and efferent fibers.
