Explanation of Solution

Contrasting Leadership and power:

Consider there are two persons. The ability of Person A to influence the behavior of Person B according to the wishes of Person A is known as power. Person A can have power over Person B only if the person has some control over something desired by Person B.

Leadership and power have some relationship where the leader uses the power vested in them to attain the goals of a group. Power does not require any goal compatibility. But leadership requires some congruency between the leader and the people the leader is leading to achieve a specific goal. Leadership focusses on the downward influences of the followers. Power considers all the factors. Leadership research will often emphasize on the style. Power focuses on the tactics to gain compliance. Leadership focusses on only the leader's influence. Power focusses on the fact individuals and groups can use the power to control other groups and individuals.

Question 6. An electrical engineering company is designing two types of solar panel systems: Standard Panels (S) and High-Efficiency Panels (H). The company has certain constraints regarding the hours of labor and material available for production each week. Each Standard Panel requires 4 hours of labor and 2 units of material and each High-Efficiency Panel requires 3 hours of labor and 5 units of material. The company has a maximum of 60 hours of labor and 40 units of material available per week. The profit from each Standard Panel is GH¢80, and the profit from each High-Efficiency Panel is GH¢100. The company wants to determine how many of each type of panel to produce in order to maximize profit. i) Solve this LPP by using graphical analysis ii) What will be the slack at the optimal solution point? Show calculation.
