The roles of appearance and of non-verbal behavior in impression formation.

Introduction:

While evaluating people, first impressions always play an important role. Physical appearance, especially facial appearance is important because some facial qualities create an impression of people and it is shown in our behavior towards them also. Non-verbal characters also create an impression and it influences the way in which one responds to the person. For example, whom we date, whom we help and whom we don’t help depends on their appearance and non-verbal behavior towards us.
