Introduction:

The nervous system must read and permit both the qualitative and quantitative information around its environment—whether a light is bright or dim, blue or red; whether the taste is intense or mild, spicy, or salty; whether sound is soft or loud, low-pitched, or high pitched. The way the nervous system converts the information to action potential is called as neural coding.
