Fungi and slime molds are under different kingdoms. There are two types of slime molds based on morphology and ribosomal RNA sequences; plasmodial slime molds and cellular slime molds. Fungi are eukaryotic organisms with cell walls, which is made up of chitin. Slime molds have lobe-shaped pseudopodia, which are the characteristic of amoebozoa helping in movement and feeding.
