What is the need for timing diagram?
traffic light is installed at a junction of a railroad and a road. the traffic light is controlled by two switches in the rails placed one mile apart on either side of the junction. a switch is turned on when the train is over it and is turned off otherwise. the traffic light changes from green (logic 0) to red (logic 1) when the beginning of the train is one mile from the junction. the light changes back to green when the end of the train is one mile away from the junction. all trains are less than 2 miles long.

- Tasks Create a timing diagram for the following circuit schematic and the case that c changes from 0 to 1 (the other input values are: a = 0 and b = 0, and do not change): m Figure 1: Circuit Schematic Make sure to include all inputs (a, b, c), outputs (F, G, H) and the indicated inter- mediate values (k, 1, m, n) in your timing diagram. Answer the following questions: 1. What is the delay of the longest circuit path? 2. What is the delay of the shortest circuit path? Indicate the delays as number of gate delays. Make sure to consider the entire circuit for finding the shortest/longest circuit path. These delays are not tied to the specific input change that was indicated for the timing diagram and only depend on the number of gates between an input and an output. Example of a timing diagram from the video: Timing Diagram Create a timing diagram with gate delays for the change x=0,y=1 to x=1,y=1 with the following circuit Include x,y, z,F,G in your diagram (1)G ....arrow_forwardBriefly explain logical shiftarrow_forwardCourse: Digital Logic Design You have to solve the question step by step and clearly Please. Consider you are assigned a task to design a digital system that is equipped with three different LEDs and four different color sensors. One LED is red (symbolized with R), one is green (symbolized with G) and one is blue (symbolized with L) while one sensor detects white color (symbolized with W), one detects black color (symbolized with B), one detects cyan color (symbolized with C) and one sensor detects magenta color (symbolized with M). It is known that each color sensor produces logic 1 output if and only if when an object of its corresponding color passes in front of it, otherwise logic 0. Each LED turns on when logic 0 is provided to…arrow_forward
