Introduction: Myofibrils are contractile, rod-like structures and they are the units of muscle cells. Myofibrils are made of proteins (long) such as actin, myosin, and titin. These proteins are organized into both thick and thin filaments called myofilaments. These myofilaments are organized into sarcomeres.
