Chapter 12, Problem 2UYK
Summary Introduction
To explain: How weight-training exercises increase the size of the muscle fiber by increasing the myofibril numbers.
Introduction: Myofibrils are contractile, long, rod-like structures, and they are the units of muscle cells. This structure runs from one end of the muscle cell to another end of the muscle cell. Myofibrils are made of proteins such as actin, myosin, and titin. These myofilaments are organized into sarcomeres.
