Concept explainers
To describe two ways this question may lead to response bias.
Explanation of Solution
In the previous question, it is given that some people have been complaining that the children’s playground at a municipal park is too small and is in need to repair. Mangers of the park decided to survey city residents to see if the bile the playground should be rebuilt. Thus, they hand out the questionnaire to the parents. Thus, we can say two ways this question may lead to response bias is that those parents who bring their children to the playground would likely feel strongly about having the playground rebuilt whereas those parents who do not bring their children to the playground would not feel as strongly about getting it rebuilt.
