Whether the phase that provides the strengthening in the precipitation hardening form directly form the supersaturated matrix phase or not needs to be explained.

Concept Introduction:

Precipitation hardening process is also termed as age hardening process. It is a heat treatment technique. It is used to increase the yield strength. It improves the malleability of the material. The process includes production of uniformly dispersed particles. Precipitation hardening process improves the metal's grain structure. The process is carried out until a certain limit else, it reduces the strength and becomes disadvantageous for the metal.
