Explanation of Solution

Given information:

To disassemble a computer mouse.

The dismantling of computer mouse is done by adopting the following steps:

  1. The first step is to disconnect the mouse from the computer and unplug all its connections.
  2. The next step is to turn the mouse and determine whether it has a trackball or an optical mouse.
  3. Now twist the trackball by using the finger and apply pressure on one side of the ball to remove it gently.
  4. Now use a small screwdriver to remove the bolts, and lift the two upper and lower cases apart.
  5. Now remove the wiring and lift up the PCB which is used inside the mouse.
  6. The mouse is finally dismantled into parts.

The three ways by which the design of mouse can be improved:

According to the reviews of the user, there are some of the ways by which the design can be improved to enhance its output.

  • The very first way is to bring the changes in the design and graphics of mouse cover by making it more convenient to provide a firm holding when operated with hands.
  • The other method that can be adopted is to make the upper portion of the mouse adjustable as it can be used with different palm structure. Thus, to provide a fine grip while working for a long duration of time.
  • The other change is to make it compact by removing unnecessary mechanical parts and instead use some optical parts which is comparatively small and more sensitive. Thus, this will improve its compatibility and hence provide more grips.
