Chapter 12, Problem 12.18PE
Program Plan Intro
Add package statement
- Import the required packages into the program.
- Declare the required variables.
- Get the file input path from the user as the command line arguments.
- Use the try{}..catch() block for exception handling.
- Check the input argument value is valid or not.
- Check the input argument path exists or not.
- Check the input path is a directory or not.
- If it is not a directory, then display the error message.
- If it is a directory, then list the file content of the directory.
- If the file contents are directory, then get the directory name starting with “chapter” and prepare a insert package statement.
- Call the “insertIntoFilesInDirectory()” method to insert the package statement.
- The “insertIntoFilesInDirectory()” method lists the files available in each directory.
- This method gets the files name that end with “.java”.
- This method calls the “insertPackageStatment()” method to insert the package name in each file ending with the name “.java”.
- The “insertPackageStatment()” method reads each file that ends with the name “.java” and appends the package name as “package chapteri;”at the beginning of each file.

(Write a C++ program)
This homework is from our textbook page 459 # 16. The Dodgers recently won the World Series vs the Tampa Bay Rays. Attached are two files:
Teams.txt - This file contains a list of serveral Major League baseball teams in alphabetical order. Each team is listed in the file has won the World Series at least once.
WorldSeries Winners.txt - This file contains a chronological list of the World Series' winning teams from 1903-2020. (The first line of the file is the name of the team that won in 1903, and the last line is the name of the team that won in 2020. Note the World Series was not played in 1904 or 1994.)
Write a program that displays the contents of the Teams.txt file on the screen and prompts the user to enter the name of one of the teams. The program should then display the number of times that team has won the World Series in the time period from 1903 to 2020.
In the program, 2 arrays are needed: TeamList array and Winners array.
TeamList array will…

- (Intro to Java) Only use while loop or for loop. DO NOT use try loop! DO NOT use null. Avoid using breaks! Tracking Customers This program will read in a series of names, along with an associated gender, from an input file of unknown length. The program uses a while loop to read in each name from the file by using the hasNextLine() method from the Scanner class. Please use a while loop for practice, although you could also write this assignment using a for loop to read from the file. As you read in each name, you will store it in an array, along with a title (Mr. or Ms. or Mx.) dependent on the stated gender. The first line of each file will contain the number of names contained in the file (hint: this is the same structure as the input file in your assignment 18.2).
