Introduction:

“Stress” is a term that can be used to define the emotional, physical, cognitive and behavioral responses originated due to events that are challenging or threatening. “Stressors” are the stress-causing events that appraised in a person due to an external source and can range from mild to severe.

Stressors are of two kinds: one those cause “distress” and other those causes “eustress”. Distress is stimulated by unpleasant and undesirable stress reactions. Eustress appraised of positive events which make a person change or adapt. The study about the effects of stress on the immune system comes under the field of “psychoneuroimmunology”.
