That did answer a lot of questions. Thank you. But where do you derive the equation E=(K|q|)/r? My book says E=(K|q|)/r^2. I tried re-arranging some equations to get your equation, but I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Your partner wants to test your Physics skills by playing a treasure hunt that will lead you to your anniversary gift from them. They left this sole clue that would lead you to the
surprise:

"Where there is ruin, there is hope for a treasure."
I know you've been wanting to practice your Physics so I chose something that might help you. Use these clues to find your gift.
Grab your phone and open your compass. Go to the park entrance and face the north direction.
Then, walk straight ahead towards the first bench you see, about 73 meters from the entrance.
Face east then turn as you count about 34° degrees towards the north direction and you'll see a tree with a birdhouse near the bank of the river, just about 352 meters
from the bench. Go there.
As you turn to your left, walk along the side of the river until you reach the gazebo, about 838 meters.
Not to scale-
