To determine: A researcher has knocked out a transcription factor from a cell line of mammal, by deleting two copies of the genes. There is a reduction in the expression of few genes, without elimination of gene expression, what transcription is knocked out by her.
Introduction: Proteins that are involved in the conversion or transcription of DNA to RNA are called transcription factors. There is a wide range of transcription factors are available in the cell. Also, these factors are involved in the formation of the preinitiation complex. Some examples of TFs are TFIIA, TFIIF, and TFIIE.
